The River HomeLink Mission
"Serving home-schooling families through parent-partnered education"
River HomeLink's mission is to support home-schooling families by providing a unique variety of quality educational opportunities in a safe environment.
We are committed to inspire students with an enthusiasm for learning.
What is River HomeLink?
River HomeLink is a unique public school program offering academic services to home-schooling families through the Battle Ground School District. We offer home-schooling parents the opportunity to partner with certificated and community education instructors to provide quality academic experiences for their home-schooled children. We are a tuition-free, tax-supported program offering programs for students grades k-12.
Home-schooling families can participate in the HomeLink program on a variety of levels:
- Students can participate on a part-time or "ancillary" basis by enrolling in selected "enrichment classes". Focus classes are generally one-day-a-week special interest classes intended to suppliment the home-school experience.
- Students can participate on a full-time basis by receiving academic support and consulting services in support of the home-school experience.
- Students can participate on a full-time basis by enrolling in HomeLink's two-day-a-week core programs such as 3-4 Elementary Explorers, 5-6 ClassLink, 7-8 ClassLink or the High School Diploma Program.
River HomeLink provides home-schooling parents with a variety of resources to support the home-schooling process, as well as an environment in which to interface with other home-schooling parents. At the same time we provide home-schooled students with a wide range of fun and challenging learning opportunities, and an opportunity for social interraction with other home-schooled students.
