Maple Grove Primary School is located in the growing community of Battle Ground, serving approximately 670 children in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. Students come from a predominantly Caucasian population, although there are small numbers of students from families of Asian, Hispanic, African-American, and American Indian descent. A percentage of our students are on free or reduced lunch, approximately l2 percent are served in special education programs, and 2 percent have been identified for highly capable program services. Parents take an active part in school activities, support the PTA, and provide volunteer assistance in classrooms. We have parents volunteering on a weekly basis in our classrooms. Parents serve with teachers on the site-based Program Delivery Council.
