The Glenwood/Laurin Parent Teacher Organization is a non-profit
group that exists to support the educational efforts of the two
schools. Voting members include everyone who has children enrolled
at either school.

What PTO Does
· Raises money to purchase equipment and supplies, for the schools
and grounds.
· Sponsors events designed to bring teachers, students and families
together.
PTO coordinates a variety of volunteer help for events such as
picture days, testing days, teacher appreciation days and much
more. PTO also works with school organizations to help their fundraising
efforts.
How You Can Help:
Attend meetings:
PTO meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 and alternates
between the Laurin and Glenwood Media Centers. Everyone is welcome
and decisions are made at these meetings that you can directly
influence.
Volunteer:
All of the events PTO sponsors require volunteers to make
them a success. Whether you are interested in chairing an event
or helping out on smaller task, we welcome you to email or call
one of the PTO Board members today to see how you can help. Take
a look at all of our events and sign up!
Support our activities:
Read the PTO monthly newsletter for more information on our events.
The first general meeting included topics such as the ice cream
socials, emergency kits for both schools and the Glenwood playground
upgrade project (watch for more details in an upcoming newsletter!).
Discussion centered on our events for this year. Thanks to all
who signed up to help with events. There is still room for you!
If you would like to volunteer, please send in the attached form
to your child's teacher. There are so many fun PTO events to choose
from!
