The images below are of macroinvertebrates collected from the East Fork of the Lewis River at Lewisville Park, in Clark County, WA. This is the site of our annual water quality testing with 7th grade science students. The macros were collected and photographed between March 30 and April 12, 2006. As with the macros collected during our water quality testing, we try to release the macros alive when we are done taking their pictures. More detailed results of our testing can be found on the 2005-06 Water Quality Data Page. Instructions: For a larger view of the specimens below, click on an image. The enlarged image will appear on your screen in a new window. Close this new window when you are through viewing it. Further information on the identification and ecology of aquatic macroinvertebrates can be found from the materials mentioned on our Resources page. |
