About Glenwood Heights Primary
Glenwood
Heights
is the iconic “community school”, nestled amongst berry fields in a
semi-rural area of
Clark County.
Glenwood
Heights
is at the southern end of
Battle
Ground School
District, bordering with industrial and
commercial areas all around us.
Since the 1996-1997 school year, Glenwood’s population has
gone from 582 students to over 760 students this year.
The southern end of the
Battle
Ground School
District is the fastest area of BGSD so
our numbers are expected to climb in the future.
Serving this group of students is a staff of 79 fantastic
people.
Our wonderful, dedicated staff and incredible
students work hand-in-hand with an active Parent Teacher
Organization (PTO) and a large volunteer base to provide for the students.
In addition to the
PTO, Glenwood strives to serve our students in a variety of
educational programs such as Title I Reading, English as a Second
Language (ESL), SOAR Reading Program,
Skills Centers,
Structured Learning Center,
Life Skills program, and our Highly Capable program.
Glenwood
Heights
has held the same school motto for many years, “Caring and Sharing”.
As people walk through the doors of Glenwood they marvel at
how everyone in the school lives this motto.
From the first greeting by a student to the positive
interactions with the staff, visitors can see why we are the “Caring
and Sharing” school.
It is not uncommon to come
across different people throughout Clark
County who say they attended Glenwood Heights.
Each of these people have warm memories of being a “Cubby”.
They share their appreciation of Glenwood and many believe
Glenwood is the southern jewel in Battle Ground
School District.
