Our goal: Donations pay for centennial celebration
The Battle Ground School District’s Centennial Committee wants to cover the cost of the 100th-anniversary celebration with private donations. Please help us meet that goal with a donation of $5, $10 or more.
The signature centennial event will be the 100th-anniversary party, open to all former and present students and employees, as well as the general public, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Battle Ground High School. Any donations that remain after this 100th school year will be given to the Battle Ground Education Foundation. If you are willing to help, please send your check to:

Help us find and honor school district 'Heroes'
If you or a familiy member or close friend is a long-time Battle Ground-area resident, this message is especially for you. We are looking for "100 Heroes" of the Battle Ground School District in its first 100 years. The public is invited to nominate persons who, as of a Jan. 9 community celebration, will be former employees or former school directors. Also eligible are both current and former non-employees and non-directors, such as parent volunteers, booster club leaders, etc. These "100 Heroes," living or deceased, will be honored at the Jan. 9 celebration at Battle Ground High School. Our diverse district is serving more than 13,000 students in seven primary schools (grades K-4), seven middle schools (5-8), two full-service high schools, four alternative and home link schools and the Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education. Governed by a five-member

The district has started using an automated phone system to notify parents of school closures, late starts, absences, as well of school events and upcoming events that our families may need to know. Absence and attendance calling is not available at all sites at this time, please verify availability with your site.
